Artist's Description

The reference for this painting was a photograph I took on one of our many holidays to Tasmania where we based ourselves near Swansea and ventured on day trips along the coast. This was a rainy, miserable day - bitterly cold. I was rugged up like a burrito, and drinking hot soup from a Thermos. The rainy day created a beautiful mist on the hills behind. In the distance from the rocky beach at Binalong Bay, I saw this outcrop of rocks - stacked and teetering. Later, when downloading the photos I zoomed in to this specific part of the scene. So inspiring as you muse how the rocks came to be like this.

Artist: Jane Davies

Jane’s is an Australian artist living and painting in South East Queensland. Jane’s artistic journey began in her mid-forties, when she stumbled upon a hidden talent during a local art class. “I often refer to that time as ‘When I found out I could paint,’” she says, reflecting on the discovery that transformed her life.
